HOME HEALTH AIDES

Home health aides offer clients help with homemaking needs/activates of daily living. Typically, this is a service primarily covered by Medicaid/Managed Care Insurance companies as unskilled/caregiver services.

Medicare and the supplement insurances will only cover a few activities under this scope if it is related to your care plan. It will not be covered if it is the only care you need in absence of skilled nursing or another service above.

Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) include;

Eating, toileting, dressing, walking, medication administration, bathing, escorting, cleaning, laundry, shaving/oral care, transfer, shopping, etc.
